Mosby Nurse's Pocket Dictionary, 33rd Edition
By Chris Brooker, BSc, MSc, RGN, SCM, RNT
Published: 2005

Overview

Although a few years old now, this 33rd edition is still a best seller.  It is a compact pocket size (literally) and is the ideal reference source for any Nurse.  Even better still, this one actually fits in your pocket!

This title is directed primarily towards health care professionals outside of the United States. Health care and nursing practice continue to change at a rapid pace, and nurses need access to up-to-date information from the many areas of nursing practice and other health care disciplines.

All of the entries have been reviewed and updated, and many of the particularly relevant issues such as research, quality and information technology have been expanded to reflect their importance in the changing health care environment.

Review - 'Nursing Standard 2005'

"It cointants more than 7,000 clearly defined nursing medical terms. Some entries are illustrated with simple but effective diagrams, many with a practical nursing focus.
The appendices have been revised to include web recources and key government reports and acts of parliment in health care from 1994 to 2004. Of particular value are the appendices on normaly values for blood, urine and cerebrospinal fluid, and prefixes and suffixesm wich are useful to have to hand for reference."
